Hilda Effiong Bassey, popularly known as Hilda Baci, recently revealed that she had auditioned for the Big Brother Naija reality show five times but was unsuccessful.
In an interview with reality star Tacha on the Nigerian radio program Cool FM’s show “The Big Friday Show,” Baci said that she had intended to participate in the BBNaija show in order to gain fame, before organizing her cooking competition.
“I actually tried to get on Big Brother [Naija] for a while,” she said. “I think I auditioned about four or five times. The plan for the cook-a-thon was still in the pipeline, so my goal was to go to Big Brother and then come out and do the cook-a-thorn.”

Baci was recently certified by Guinness World Records (GWR) as the record holder for the longest cooking marathon by an individual. She cooked for 130 hours and 10 minutes, beating the previous record of 120 hours and 30 minutes.
Despite her unsuccessful attempts to get on Big Brother Naija, Baci has achieved success in her own right. She is a well-known chef and entrepreneur, and she has inspired many people with her story.
